The Fourth Colombian Computing Conference (4CCC 2009) will be held in Bucaramanga, Colombia from April 23rd to 25th, 2009. The conference is organized by Universidad Autonoma de Bucaramanga - UNAB and Universidad Industrial de Santander - UIS, in co-operation with the Colombian Computing Society SCo2 and the University Network UNIRED. Throughout the event there will be the following main activities:

Three previous versions of this event were hold in Cali (2005), Bogotá (2007) and Medellin (2008).

CALL FOR PAPERS
4CCC 2009 encourage you to submit original papers describing research results or practical solutions in informatics. Furthermore, papers describing advanced prototypes, systems, tools, techniques and general survey papers indicating future directions are also encouraged. Topics include, but are not limited to:

The Program Committee of 4CCC 2009 make an announcement: Call for Papers deadlines has been postponed to January 20th, 2009.
Full Paper Submission : January 20th, 2009
Author Notification : February 16th, 2009
Camera-Ready paper due: March 2nd, 2009
PAPER SUBMISSION
Each paper should clearly indicate the nature of its technical/scientific contribution, and the problems, domains or environments to which it is applicable, as well as it must have been neither published nor submitted to publication anywhere else in versions substantially equal.
Authors must indicate the topic area to which the paper is submitted. The Topic Area of the paper (one of the thirteen above listed in the CALL FOR PAPERS) must be specified as "Keywords" after the summary. The paper must be carefully checked for correct grammar and spelling and must have a maximum of 10 pages. Please look at the ACM Format
Papers must be submitted in Latex (.tex) or word (.doc) with all references to the author(s) removed to be reviewed anonymously. Authors should refer to his own work on the third person and avoid references in the paper body that could reveal their identity. Authors information will be included in the final version of the paper.
Acceptance will be based on quality, relevance, originality and contribution to computing. Accepted papers, presented at the conference by authors will be published in the Proceedings of 4CCC 2009. The best papers will be chosen to be published in Colombian Journal of Computation (ISSN: 1657-2831) and Progress in Systems and Informatics (ISSN: 1657-7663) which are sponsored by COLCIENCIAS (Colombian Institute for the Development of Science and Technology)
